Important Travel Information

Protect your holiday from the moment you book
We strongly recommend that all customers take out comprehensive travel insurance as soon as they book their holiday.
Many policies provide cancellation cover from the date the insurance is purchased, subject to the insurer’s terms and conditions, helping protect your holiday investment if unexpected circumstances force you to cancel before departure.
Travel insurance can also provide valuable protection during your trip, including emergency medical expenses, baggage cover, travel disruption, and more. Always check the policy wording for full details, exclusions, and cover limits.
Why is cover needed before departure?
Unexpected events can happen weeks or even months before a holiday begins. For example:
- Serious illness or injury affecting the traveller or a close family member
- Bereavement
- Jury service or court attendance
- Redundancy (where covered by the policy)
- Significant damage to the traveller’s home, such as fire or flooding
Without insurance, travellers could lose deposits or the full cost of their holiday if they need to cancel and cannot obtain a refund from suppliers.
Health Insurance
Make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance.
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) may provide access to some state healthcare services, but neither should be considered a substitute for travel insurance. Travelling without adequate cover could leave you facing significant medical costs if something goes wrong.
Nobody wants to spend their holiday dealing with unexpected medical bills, so make sure you have appropriate cover before you travel.
If in Doubt, Ask
If you’re unsure about any travel requirements, speak to your travel agent before you travel.
These are details you want to get right before you leave. Nobody wants the stress of being delayed—or, in a worst-case scenario, refused boarding at the airport because of an avoidable paperwork issue.
